Nana Yaw Oduro (Mr.) is the chairman of the Board of Directors of First Allied. A successful business executive with a distinctive skill in the setting up of award-winning businesses, Nana, as he is affectionately called, inspired the founding of First Allied in 1995.

He has a deep sense of purpose and direction, very passionate and result-oriented with an unflinching faith that with God nothing is impossible. Besides First Allied, Nana has diverse investments comprising of trading companies, farms, real estate, warehousing and transportation. He founded A-Life Supermarket, one of the first indigenous supermarket chains in Ghana. Additionally he has business holdings in multinational companies in Europe, Canada, U.S.A. and Asia.

Nana’s business acumen and his success in the world of business have earned him a number of local and international awards, including but not limited to:

In recognition of his distinct leadership style and accomplishment, the Peristrofi Master’s School of Theology of the University of Amsterdam recently bestowed on Nana an Honorary Personality of Distinction which entitles him to precede his name with ‘His Honour’.

The Global Centre For Transformational Leadership also identified Nana among the 100 Most Outstanding Personalities of the Decade (2000-2010) and conferred on him the African Prize for Transformational Leadership in 2010.

To upgrade and to keep himself abreast with developments in the business world, Nana has undertaken continuous education through seminars, conferences and training programs both locally and internationally. He is married with children and has deep reverence for God. In spite of all these, it is Nana’s humility and unassuming nature that leaves a lasting impression on all who come into contact with him.
